In this tutorial we will make intense use of VEX to create the basic geometric pattern for the fractures and to animate the cracks procedurally.

    Thank you!

    My only comment is wish this was with Karma. Not everyone has Redshift…

    I can not seem to figure out the problem I’m having with this tutorial! I created the cracks but when going to extrude it will not go through the glass it starts from the middle and extrude only through half of the geometry. Then when I do the simulation the bullet will not break through the glass impact zone or I can edit the extrude make sure an enlarged extruded crack goes through the geometry but then the glass breaks in to pieces before the bullet can even reach to the next glass! I want to create this simulation you have made a tutorial of but I can not sadly because of these problems! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

      Hi KryptoKid, be sure to set the Z coordinate of the impact point so that it is exactly on the surface of the box.
      During the explanation I have used for the box (size -> 2 | 3 | 0.025 // center -> 0 | 1.5 | 0.0125) and for the impact point (0.55706 | 1.68864 | 0).
      I hope this helps.

        I did that and followed the instructions to a T, seems like in the scripting I put < backwards something so small and simple.... lmao now I'm trying to figure out why I cannot get all three simulations to show up because I cached them but they all won't play after each other.

    Having such a tutorial with minimal use of VEX would be awesome.
