Tutorial showing how I created my "Particles." animation using Houdini, with Advect Particles by Volume. I went over how I created the source and the simulation, also quickly about rendering and post processing in the Fusion. I hope you will find it useful, thanks! Get The Project File

    thank you ,very good tutorial
and i have a quesion that what's the meaning of vector @P/@v in volumevop ?

      I'm glad you liked it!

So basically I divided position of all points by velocity to get a value from 0 to 1. You can divide the age/life also, it might give a better result, just for that case P/v worked better. I hope that helps :)

i'm using houdini 17 and i can't seem to find the fluid source node, any ideas?

Hi! Right, the sourcing was changed in 17.
Later I will add some captions to the video about it.

But for now, you can check out Jeff Wagner's webinar, he shows the Pyro sourcing at 00:59:50
      https://youtu.be/PfeDjQCKPXg?t=3589

Or you can click on "Billowy Smoke" shelf in the pyro tab, and check what nodes it adds after your source geometry. You should see the new "Pyro Source", " Attribute noise", "Volume Rasterize Attribute" nodes.

      I hope that helps.

Great tutorial! I had to pick apart the billowy smoke to get it to where you were in the beginning, but honestly because of it I learned a lot. Thanks again!
