The current version of guide form was built with vex + compiled blocks, so no sop verb to access inside the apex rig. Are there any other option to use that with apex or we just have to wait for the next major version of Houdini?

Yeah out of the box there's not much you can do to use it directly in APEX right now. You can look forward to some developments in this area though.
