H20.5 rotating viewport on space + number

Hey there

This was unexpected. Space + number has been my go to for switching viewport between perspective, front, top etc.. I've just noticed that doing so causes the effective display "camera" to start doing a weird barrel roll. Equally astonishing is when pressing Option + Space I also trigger this barrel roll, time tunnel thing. Is anyone else experiencing it? What's it for, and how do I turn it off please?

I'm on a Mac, if that helps narrow it down.

Cheers,
Jeff

Can confirm that. I also encountered such a glitch in Houdini 20.5 once. I remember about 5 years ago, this error appeared in Houdini as well, but it was fixed in the newer versions.

Also got this my first day with 20.5 on Macbook Pro. Have not seen it on Windows versions.

If you enter the orthogonal view, press O to restore the perspective view

The problem isn't that, but that sometimes Houdini starts glitching, causing the viewport camera to rotate while you're holding the spacebar.

I've had this too - I just killed the scene view and opened another and it went away

you know, Houdini viewport has been a massive disappointment ever since I started using it. But previously, it was at least still usable. In H20.5 It's a downright disgrace for such an incredible DCC. This rotating glitch bug bullshit has been in H20.5 since its release and I don't think something like this should need to be reported more than once for it to be fixed.

@sideFX the damn software is unusable if the viewport doesn't work!!!!!

Killing the scene view and opening it doesn't cause it to go away. Man I'm tired of these silly persistent viewport bugs. It's garbage! it's been years. A new viewport, same crap; oh no wait, much worst crap!
