HQueue Server and Client daemons are now managed as
systemd
services on Linux. Withsystemd
, the HQueue Server and Client daemons will restart automatically after a machine reboot. -
Added support for MySQL and PostgreSQL. System administrators can choose to change the HQueue database backend from SQLite to MySQL or PostgreSQL for improved performance. This can help HQueue farms that regularly experience freeezes and slow downs in the web interface. It’s still recommended to use HQueue for small scale farms. See Switching the Database Engine for more information.

Added support for specifying custom resources on jobs submitted from the HQueue ROP and HQueue Scheduler TOP nodes. An example is you can set custom license resource requirements on 3rd-party render jobs to help manage license usage on the farm.

Resources
parameter on the HQueue Render ROP, HQueue Simulation ROP and the HQueue Scheduler TOP. -
