MtlX Unified Noise 3D VOP node

Combines the available noises into an artist-friendly node, adding controls to adjust frequency, offset, jitter, etc…

Where possible controls have been unified between noises; any noise-specific controls will live in a dedicated folder.

Parameters

Noise Type

The type of noise to use.

Perlin

MtlX Noise 3D

Cell

MtlX Cell Noise 3D

Worley

MtlX Worley Noise 3D

Fractal

MtlX Fractal 3D

Frequency

Adjusts the noise frequency, with higher values producing smaller noise shapes.

Offset

Shift the noise in 3d space.

Jitter

Adjust uniformity of Worley noise; for other noise types jitters the results.

Output Min

The lowest values fit to the noise. Default is 0.0.

Output Max

The highest values fit to the noise. Default is 1.0.

Clamp Output

Octaves

The number of octaves of Fractal noise to be generated.

Lacuniarity

The exponential scale between successive octaves of Fractal noise.

Diminish

The rate at which noise amplitude is diminished for each octave of Fractal noise.
